Gravatar for Dawn on the Amazon Captain’s Blog Comments
We have added a new feature in the comments called gravatars. They are small images that you can choose to personalize your comment, capture more attention, be recognized, and build your brand.
You can pick a favorite image from your hard drive, make your own, or steal use an image from the internet like Water Rat did (see comments from What I Am Doing For You and What You Can Do For Me and upload it to gravatar.com. You have to join their site, which is free and easy.
You can crop the image first if you have Photoshop or some other digital image software; 80 pixels square is a good size. You can crop it with the gravatar tool but you have more size control with Photoshop.
Your gravatar will show up on all gravatar capable forums and blogs across the internet, providing you log in with the same email address you sign up for your gravatar with. If you want to be anonymous use a different email address and your gravatar will not show.
Why not do it today. Do more than one, it’s fun.
