December 23rd marks the second anniversary of the Captains Blog. What a year! I have learned a lot. You all have taught me so much. The first year I made 47 posts, and you made 1,000 comments. This year I made 81 posts and you made 1,033 comments.
Thank you for helping make the Captain’s Blog a success. Most of you were supportive. You are part of my online community and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.
I fell short of my goal of making two posts per week. I know I can do better this year. My new goal is to average three interesting posts per week, one rainforest research article per week, and add 300 short stories and photos to my new On the Street, Iquitos Peru series.
I know it is not about the numbers but about the quality. I know that my style and content have improved dramatically this year. I hope you will check back with me and let me know how I am doing.
Would you do me a favor? Please go back and read some of my favorite posts, and leave a comment about what you think of the articles listed below.
These are my favorites from this last year. I hope you find some that you can enjoy. Thank you for following my second year of blogging.
